EUFAB Crow Basic: 12 kg two-bike carrier

The EUFAB Crow Basic is the simplest towbar carrier in this group: two bikes, a 12 kg frame and a 50 kg payload. It suits riders with one e-bike and one ordinary bike, or two lighter e-bikes such as compact folders, who want a rack that is easy to lift on and off the tow ball. Heavy pairs of e-MTBs are a different story.

In its favour
- The lightest carrier in this guide at about 12 kg.
- Takes oversize and Y-frames up to 8.5 cm in diameter.
- Arrives partly pre-assembled and is marked suitable for e-bikes.
Good to know
- The 50 kg limit is the lowest here, too little for two 25 kg e-bikes plus accessories.
- Not foldable, and no boot access function is listed.
Our take
The 50 kg question
A 50 kg limit is the lowest among the e-bike carriers we compare. Two 25 kg e-bikes would reach it before you add locks, lights or a child seat, and many full suspension e-MTBs weigh more than that. Removing the batteries can bring a pair back within the limit, but check the actual weight of each bike first.
No per-bike limit is listed, so the safest approach is to keep both bikes well below 25 kg.
Frame and rail fit
EUFAB says the clamps take oversize and Y-shaped frames up to 8.5 cm in diameter. That is useful for e-bikes, which often have thick down tubes around the battery, and for step-through frames without a conventional top tube.
The rails are about 18 cm apart. That is closer than the 23 cm Atera gives for its Strada E-Bike M, so wide handlebars may need turning. No maximum tyre width is stated.
Handling and storage
At around 12 kg it is the lightest carrier here by a clear margin, which helps both your back and the towbar's nose weight. It arrives partly pre-assembled, so allow time to finish the build before the first trip.
The specs mark it as not foldable, and the listing does not mention a tilt for boot access. Plan to unload both bikes before opening the tailgate at the shops or the trailhead. Dimensions are given as 117 by 50 by 67 cm.
Stepping up
The EUFAB Premium 11 raises the payload to 60 kg and adds a folding frame, at the cost of extra weight. The Atera Strada E-Bike M keeps the weight low while offering 60 kg and boot access, so it is the obvious upgrade for two full-size e-bikes.
Verdict
Choose the Crow Basic for one e-bike plus a lighter bike, or two compact e-bikes, when a low carrier weight matters most. For two full-size e-bikes, the higher payloads of the Atera Strada E-Bike M or the Westfalia BC 60 are the safer choice.
