Our take

Battery and range

RANDRIDE describes the 48 V 17 Ah pack as fully integrated, waterproof and dustproof. It quotes 70 to 90 km with electric assist and 45 to 55 km in all-electric mode. The spec table expresses capacity as 17,000 mAh, and no watt hour figure is printed.

The listing does not say whether the battery can be removed for charging. If you live in a flat and park outside, check that before buying.

Motor and legal limits

The motor is a 48 V brushless hub unit. RANDRIDE states that the default settings limit power to 250 W and speed to 25 km/h, the UK and EU pedelec limits. Torque is not given.

Because an all-electric mode is described, make sure the bike is configured for pedal assist only when you ride on public roads.

Suspension, brakes and gears

Front and rear suspension are both listed, with an adjustable rear shock. Travel figures are not stated, so it is hard to say how rough a trail it will handle. Hydraulic disc brakes are named in the title, and the 21-speed drivetrain uses front and rear derailleurs.

The colour LCD carries an IP54 rating and shows riding data alongside the gear selection. The listed box contents include a charger, a helmet, saddle bags and tools. Tyres are 2.4 inches wide on 27.5 inch aluminium rims, and the listed weight is 26 kg with a 120 kg maximum load.

Where it fits

Compared with the SAMEBIKE LO26-II, the YG90 is not a folder but has larger wheels and a bigger battery by amp hours, while the SAMEBIKE quotes 75 Nm of torque. The Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 HPC Race 800 is a far more serious trail machine with a carbon frame and an 800 Wh battery, and it is lighter too.

Verdict

The YG90 suits riders up to 120 kg who want full suspension and long range for mixed terrain without moving to a premium brand. If you need to fold the bike into a car, the SAMEBIKE LO26-II fits that job, and for proper technical trails the Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 HPC Race 800 is in another league.
