Our take
Why the differential matters
On a trike, both rear wheels travel different distances in a turn. MOONCOOL fits a rear differential so each rear wheel can turn at its own speed, giving smoother and more balanced cornering. Without one, a trike can feel like it is fighting you through bends. The listing pairs this with 20 by 3.0 inch fat tyres, a front suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes and a parking brake.
Motor and battery
The 250 W rated motor provides pedal assistance up to 25 km/h with five assist levels and a walk-assist control. The 36 V 20 Ah battery stores around 720 Wh. MOONCOOL notes that the 128 km figure depends on rider weight, road conditions and assist level, which is a fair caveat. The battery can be charged on or off the trike, handy if the trike lives in a shed without a socket.
