A trailer turns an ordinary e-bike into a school-run or shopping machine without buying a cargo bike. The motor makes the extra weight manageable, but the hitch is where e-bikes cause trouble. Many attach at the rear axle, and thru-axles or hub motors may need a specific adapter, so check fit with the maker before you buy. Beyond that, compare the maximum load in kg, the trailer's own weight, the number of seats and whether it converts to a stroller.
