The Qreate City Pro is a city e-bike with a low step-through frame and larger 27.5 inch wheels, aimed at people who ride several miles into town and back most days. What sets it apart in its class is the brake and fork pairing: hydraulic disc brakes and a hydraulic suspension fork with 80 mm of travel, both of which help on rough urban roads.

Our take

Electrical system

Power comes from a 250 W motor and a 36 V 15 Ah battery integrated into the frame. The battery can be removed for charging indoors or at work, and Qreate quotes a range of 65 to 80 km. The listing does not name the motor maker, the sensor type or the torque figure.

A full-colour TFT display shows speed, battery and distance and controls the assist levels. It also connects to the Qreate app, and the box includes two NFC cards, which the listing pairs with the display.

Comfort and stopping

The 80 mm hydraulic fork is a step up from the spring forks fitted to many city bikes, and it should smooth out cobbles and speed bumps. Hydraulic disc brakes need less lever force than cable discs and keep working well in the wet, which matters on a bike carrying a battery.

Puncture-resistant tyres are fitted, and the gearing is a 7-speed rear derailleur. Qreate describes the geometry as ergonomic with an upright posture for city streets.

Things the listing leaves out

There is no bike weight and no rider height range, only One Size. If you are shorter than average or need to carry the bike up steps, ask the seller for both before ordering. Warranty is listed as one year.

In the box you get the charger, pedals, a front light, a bell, spoke reflectors, two keys and a tool kit.

Against other step-through choices

The FabricBike E-Stepcity has mudguards, a rack and rear light fitted and a two-year warranty, but uses mechanical brakes and a smaller 360 Wh battery. The CEAYA R8SE is far more compact on 20 inch wheels and states a 25 kg weight, which the Qreate does not.

Verdict

The City Pro is a strong pick for commuters who want a step-through frame with hydraulic brakes, a proper suspension fork and a bigger battery than most city bikes. If you need a fully equipped bike with rack and mudguards, the FabricBike E-Stepcity is ready to go, and if storage space is tight, look at the CEAYA R8SE.
